SteamLights with Bluebell Railway - From December 3

The trains of the Bluebell Railway will light up the Sussex countryside for this brand new experience running throughout December.

The experience lasts around an hour and a half.

Christmas at Drusillas - December 5 - 23

Drusillas Park will be transformed for Christmas, creating a magically festive atmosphere for the whole family. There is also a Santa’s Grotto so the kids can meet the Big Man himself.

Glow Wild at Wakehurst - December 3 - January 3

Admire the UK’s tallest Christmas tree decorated with 1800 lights as well as many other features along Wakehurst’s seventh Lantern Trail.

Gardens close at 10pm.

Christmas Shows at Chichester Festival Theatre - Various dates in December

There are a selection of festive shows taking place this year including A Merry Little Christmas Celebration, Dear Santa and Pinocchio. Each of the shows will also be livestreamed if you cannot attend in person.

Festive afternoon tea at Bluebell Railway - December 3 - 21

We return to the Bluebell Railway for a quintessentially English food experience on a steam train as it powers through the Sussex weald.

Tickets are £50 per person.

Fly with Santa to 450ft above Brighton - December 5 - 24

Hop on board the i360 Viewing Tower on Brighton seafront for a chance to meet Santa while enjoying one of the best views of the Sussex coast.

Adult tickets are £14.85.

Leonardslee Illuminated - December 11 - 28

Similarly to the event at Wakehurst, the gardens of Leonardslee will be festively lit up for an evening walk on a crisp winter evening.

The trail takes between 60 and 90 minutes.

Christmas at Amberley Museum - December 5 - 20

This year the museum has a theme of ‘Homemade Christmas’ for their festive events which includes a craft-themed trail, letter writing to Father Christmas, origami and much more.

It runs from 10am to 4pm each day.

Wiston Estate Christmas Light Up Trail - December 8 - January 3

Take the one-mile walk through the estate to see it meticulously illuminated for Christmas. You’ll never have seen this section of the South Downs so beautifully decorated.

A family of four ticket is £65.

The Big Christmas Drive By near Crawley - December 11 - 27

From the comfort of your car you’ll drive through a range of Christmas attractions including food stalls, live music, a grotto and more.

The drive will last around 20 minutes.

Drive In To Winter near Haywards Heath - Various dates in December

Take your pick of drive-in cinema, comedy, panto or an elf show. With so much on offer you can be sure that the whole family will come away very happy.

Christmas at Globalls - Throughout December
