The Mumazing Awards, a celebratory event to acknowledge the hard work and achievements of amazing mums in Devon, is fast approaching. Founded and created by inspirational mum Lucy Flanagan, Mumazing Success was a labour of love, born directly from Lucy’s own experience of becoming a mother and feeling lost in her new role; Lucy soon discovered that she was not the only mum seeking emotional support and personal development, and as a result, Lucy created Mumazing Success and the Mumazing Awards to help to empower, support and celebrate the mothers of Devon.
In her own words Lucy describes how “Mumazing mums go on to lead a life free of mummy guilt, reconnected with their true purpose, finding harmony in their relationships as well as being a positive role model to their children.” She adds “There are so many mums juggling careers with motherhood and they’re real troupers for overcoming adversity when life chucks them a curve ball; they have to be a pillar of strength for themselves and their families.”
Mumazing Awards encourages you to nominate yourself or a mum you know for an award. The Mumazing Awards feature various categories to recognise the great achievements of mums, including the Business Mum Award, the Stay at Home Mum Award and more. The award categories also include recognition for supporting roles, including the Grandparent Award, the Man in Shining Armour Award and the Best Mum Employer Award. The categories have been kindly sponsored by local businesses – who’ve supported the awards with their time and services – including Radiance MediSpa, Bubblegum Design, Solicitors Title, Munchkins Day Nursery, Energy Hair, Astley Media, Louis Joyce and Purity Spa.
Those taking part in the Mumazing Awards will be invited to celebrate the amazing mums of Devon at a fabulous lunch and awards ceremony, sponsored by Crealy Great Adventure Park and supported by Devon Life, on Thursday 21 July at Woodbury Park Hotel and Golf Club. Entrepreneur Mum
This mum has an entrepreneurial spirit and motivation to make her business dreams happen, whilst continually striving to support her children and her family.
Business Mum
With her own business, this mother has worked tirelessly to build a business with a great reputation and turnover, as well as running her family home and raising her kids.
Best Mum Employer
This employer understands the commitments of mother employees and fully supports their mums, offering flexible working hours to fit around family life.
Life Balance/ Role Model Mum
This mum is organised and plans ahead to access her priorities in order to balance her working life and time with her children and family.
Overcoming Adversity Mum
Having faced distressing challenges, this mum has shown strength and courage in the face of adversity, using her experience to help herself to move forward.
Stay at Home Mum
A mum who has chosen to stay at home to parent her children; she is motivated to fill her children’s lives with positivity and fun family experiences.
Young Mum (18 - 25)
This new mum has taken motherhood in her stride and prioritised the lives of her children at a young age to become a responsible and loving mother.
Grandparent Award
A grandparent who happily supports the family by looking after their grandchildren, offering words of wisdom from lessons they’ve learnt, whilst all the while being respectful and loving.
Man in Shining Armour Award
The father or caring man who stands beside a mum to care for her children; he’s supportive, encouraging, loving and a fantastic role model for the kids.
Mumazing Self Diamond Award
An amazing mother in many ways is to be honoured as the overall category winner at the Mumazing Awards lunch.
