10 Yorkshire walks near the Pennine Way

The Pennine Way stretches for 268 miles from Northumberland to the northern Peak District, with the majority of the route passing through Yorkshire. This selection of walks from our archive closely pass by or take in sections of the national trail.

Hawes and the Cam Road
The Pennine Way has incorporated much of the Roman Cam Road which were major throughfares in the past, we explore the countryside around popular Hawes.

Horton-in-Ribblesdale
The Pennine Way loops down to meet Horton-in-Ribblesdale and just north again towards Pen-Y-Ghent and we follow a small section in the early part of this walk.

Malham Tarn to Arncliffe
The Pennine Way moves south right through the centre of the village, but before it gets there, it circles the north and eastern edges of Malham Tarn, and it is from here where we begin this walk.
