How I spend my days
If I’m not filming, it’s the usual 7am start, breakfast and the school run, a quick 30-minute walk and then Capsule work, which takes up most of my day. There’s always something to do, whether its liaising with the podcast team, planning digital content, event prep or writing. I love going to the gym, and try to do an hour three times a week. I normally take a break from work when my son comes home from school until after dinner, which we try and eat as a family. I might do another hour or so before bed or chillout and watch a boxset with my husband.

Friday night-cocktails or chill?
To be honest, it can be a bit of both. I love a Friday date night! Friday night for me is probably the one night where I like to indulge the most. I love a nice glass of wine, either at home with a takeaway or out at a local restaurant or bar with my husband.

Saturday morning-Parkrun or papers?
Lazy Saturdays for sure and it tends to be very breakfast/brunch orientated. I can’t cook a lot, but I was taught how to make American pancakes on a job I did, which my son loves. So, I love making pancakes, scrambled eggs and bacon and having some nice fresh coffee on the go whilst watching James Martin cook lovely things on the TV.

Feeding time?
Oh, this is hard! My husband is an amazing cook, so when he’s doing the dinner I love eating in. When it’s me, not so much as half of it ends up burnt. My two favourite meals to eat out are Indian and a Sunday roast. The Fox in Menston does one of the best.

Retail therapy?
As much as I love fashion, I’m really not much of a shopper and try to rewear my wardrobe. If I have to venture out, I do love Victoria Leeds. I have grown up with the Victoria Quarter. It used to be the poshest place to go and it still encapsulates that feeling. The new Victoria Gate is also lovely and there are some beautiful shops in there. NEOM is a favourite.

Saturday night perfection?
I love a chilled Saturday night, so it’s either a family takeaway or meal, something like pizza or fajitas followed by a family movie night in our comfies. These are my favourite nights.

Sunday relaxation?
Our Sundays tend to factor on the weather. Ideally, our son plays football in the morning and then we have a family walk just after lunchtime. We like to do a proper Sunday roast and watch something nice. We love anything that's narrated by David Attenborough or the big BBC dramas like His Dark Materials. Then it's an early night for school and work on Monday. I love a good wholesome Sunday as it sets you up well for the week.

Hopes for the year ahead?
The Capsule is growing steadily, which is amazing. We’ll have a new podcast series airing in the spring, a live event in Leeds in March and I’m also in development on a female lead TV drama that has been inspired by the issues we’ve discussed on The Capsule podcast, so it’s a very exciting time. I’ve been very fortunate to carve out a career that allows me to prioritise my family life around my work life, so I’d love to have more of the same this year. thecapsule.co.uk
