A Brighton restaurant has been named among the top 100 most romantic restaurants in the UK for 2023.

Kusaki, which is located on Circus Parade, is a cocktail sushi bar and offers a number of plant-based dishes inspired by Japanese cuisine.

Speaking about the list OpenTable wrote: "Food is its own love language, but when it’s served in a cosy room or a candlelit booth? Guaranteed fireworks.

Kusaki in Brighton recognised by OpenTable 

Discussing its food, Kusaki says on its website: "Contemporary cuisine inspired by nature and seasonality.

The restaurant is a hit with OpenTable diners, with a 4.6/5 rating based on 778 reviews, with it being praised for its food and ambience especially.

One person wrote: "The food was so amazing, literally after every mouthful my partner and I said ‘wow’ and were desperately trying to figure what dish we wanted to be the last mouthful so the flavours could linger longer!

"The setting is beautiful so serene and great mood lighting, we went for an early weekday dinner so had the place to ourselves which was perfect."

Another posted: "Absolutely blown away with my meal and the service! Everything was so perfect for my girlfriend's birthday. Couldn't have asked for anything more.

"As a sceptical avid meat eater dating a vegan I thought I'd switch the tables for once and make sure she was catered for and I was left umm-ing and arr-ing with my choices. I have to say I was massively impressed and left incredibly inspired with vegan food and what can be done."
