A Literary Christmas

Heading to London? Then make sure you have a tree-mendous time by visiting St Pancras International Station to be transported into the magic of Christmas with their literary Tree created with the help of Hatchards, the capital’s oldest bookshop.

Standing at 12 metres tall, the tree has a winding staircase wrapping around 270 shelves containing an incredible 3,800 books. Visitors can immerse themselves in reading a Christmas classic in one of the eight cubby holes or listen to a five-minute excerpt from a choice of 16 audiobooks or readings provided exclusively by Penguin Books, featuring authors including Zadie Smith, Michael Morpurgo, Richard Osman and Tom Fletcher.

The Tree is the centrepiece of the St. Pancras International festive offering, which also includes the Christmas Grotto, located on The Grand Terrace. During their visit, children can meet Santa, enjoy activities with Elves, listen to stories and even take their parents for a trip to Hamleys and Hatchards where they can receive 20% off with their grotto ticket.
