The latest wedding news and happenings in Sussex this month
Part of the plan
Sussex-based Potcakes Parties announces the launch of its sister company Potcakes Weddings (www.potcakesweddings.co.uk). Following the success of organising beautiful, elegant ceremonies under the Parties brand, this side of the business has been separated to dedicate itself solely to weddings.
The aim of the company’s team of specialists is to offer a luxury, personal experience mixed with creativity and expert knowledge – helping clients to plan one of the most magical days of their lives.
Judith Young, managing director, commented: “We love everything about weddings, from making the planning process fun and exciting, to holding our client’s hand on the big day. Like a foot in a Jimmy Choo, we enhance the whole experience and work with them to design and create a truly unique day.”
Meeting of minds
A couple recently married who met through a local friendship club. Brian Druery and Ann Hughes, members of The Group, a Sussex club for unattached men and women, were married at Mid Sussex Golf Club in a ceremony conducted by The Group co-founder, Tricia Bentley. The Group is not a dating agency but of course everybody is delighted that a couple of our members have found happiness with one another.”
