Easebourne School was transformed on March 18 for an Exotic Eastern Evening in aid of the David Nott Foundation.

With eastern cuisine by Food For Occasions, bar run by Langham Brewery, decorations by The Upholsterer and music by the Courtiers, it was a resounding success, raising £14,000 for the foundation.

The British surgeon, made a household name through Desert Island Discs and the Pride of Britain awards, attended the event himself. Guests were moved and fascinated by his stories of life saving surgery in conflict zones and areas affected by natural disaster.

With help from Emma Lines sourcing auction and raffle prizes, the auction proved very successful, highlights being a necklace donated by Victoria Fine Jewellery, tickets for The Concours d’Elegance and Grange Opera and art works by Paul Treasure and Philip Jackson.
