Bluebell Railway

Monk's House, Rodmell

Virginia Woolf lived in this charming cottage with her husband Leonard for 22 years. The couple did not have any children, and doted on their spaniels, Sally and Pinka. Virginia loved dogs so much that she wrote a biography of a cocker spaniel called Flush. Dogs are not allowed in the house, but may accompany you around the pretty garden and into Virginia's 'lodge', where she wrote some of her greatest novels.
