Cottesmore near Crawley comes out on top in the 2020 Tatler Schools Awards
Cottesmore School near Crawley is celebrating today after being announced as Tatler’s Prep School of the Year at a virtual awards ceremony last night, Tuesday 6 October.
The Tatler Schools Awards panel chose the winners from the 244 schools that were selected for the Tatler Schools Guide. For the first time, the ceremony took place on Tatler Schools’ Instagram TV in front of an online audience representing the top prep and public schools in the country.
Cottesmore’s Headmaster, Tom Rogerson, filmed his acceptance speec from a paddleboard on the school’s lake. Mr Rogerson added, “We are genuinely overwhelmed to receive such a prestigious accolade and for this incredible recognition. This sets the tone perfectly for our new academic year and is an incredibly fitting way to celebrate the entire Cottesmore team and wider community; all of who have played their part in making Cottesmore the school it is today.”
As well as outstanding academic results, Cottesmore offers a huge range of sports, hobbies and activities to supplement the diverse academic curriculum and vibrant drama, music and arts programmes. Cottesmore has been preparing children for public schools since 1894 and continues to provide preparation for senior schools who share Cottesmore’s belief in nurturing a rounded, dynamic individual.
