Bespoke jewellers Rick and Maggie Chapman moved their jewellery workshop from Sudbury to Woodbridge four years ago. Rick has been making fine jewellery for over 40 years and they design and handmake all their jewellery to order, using traditional tools and methods.
They also undertake restorations to quality jewellery, and remodel pieces. In addition they run day courses for individuals to make a piece of jewellery or for couples to make their wedding rings.
This is very popular, giving the couple a unique and memorable day. The rings can be made in gold, palladium or platinum. They can be shaped to fit with an existing wedding ring, diamond set, or engraved.
Rick enjoys teaching, and explaining techniques, and is passionate about his work. People visit the workshop just to see him working at the bench, watching him create beautiful, individual pieces. Opening hours Thursday to Saturday 9-5. Other times by appointment.

Will Bishop creates beautiful and unique contemporary jewellery from his studio in the picturesque village of Boxford in Suffolk. After doing a foundation course in Fine Art, Will went on to do an Honours Degree in sculpture at Canterbury College of Art and Design. He became interested in jewellery-making after a period of travel across East and South Africa.
After completing a diamond setting course at the London Guildhall University, Will set up his jewellery making business which has been going for approximately 22 years. Will’s unique style of jewellery-making stems from his training as a sculptor and informed by his extensive travels in Africa and his life in rural Suffolk. His jewellery is made in silver, gold and platinum incorporating precious and semi-precious gems and is London hallmarked.
In addition to this Will is adept at remodelling old, unworn, often inherited jewellery; transforming it into beautiful new pieces using the same materials and retaining the sentimental value.
