WYLDE CREATURES

Discover 21 beautiful hand-drawn animals on the benches by Bath Abbey. Each animal has been specially selected for its ecological significance and is native to Bath. DOODLE DAYS

Head to Southgate to see the phone box covered in Mr Doodle's graphic monochrome designs. Visit the Holburne Museum to see his personal sketchbooks and be amazed by the designs spilling out from the gallery to the roof, stairs and even the lift! Rainy day? A Digital Doodling Online Workshop is available on August 10. holburne.org

ROMAN CRAFTING

The Roman Baths are very welcoming to families ioffering craft activities where children can make a Super Scroll – a type of book the Romans used or they can have a go at Caesar’s Secrets –by sending a coded message to their friends, just like Julius Caesar used to! romanbaths.co.uk

OUTDOOR THEATRE

Pitch up a picnic blanket and enjoy the spectacular gardens and valley views with some family-friendly drama at the American Museum. BATH IN BLOOM

This summer, Bath will be participating in Britain in Bloom, the biggest horticultural campaign in Europe. In 1964 Bath won the first ever Britain in Bloom competition and will be pushing out all the stops again this year.
