Compact town gardens a short walk apart near Norwich city centre, each with a different character. Lush planting of fruit vegetables and flowers welcome you at the side of 14 Conesford Drive, a 1960s modernist house, leading to a densely planted cottage garden of carefully selected perennials and climbers. 18 Conesford Drive is a professionally designed and planted garden with restrained plantings of herbaceous flowers, climbers and small shrubs which gives the garden a Japanese feel. A small pond contains white waterlilies. 1 Woodside Cottages is a small cottage garden packed with colourful plants both perennial and annual as well as ornamental and edible.

Castle Acre is a historic conservation village with a castle, priory and river walk.Park at Tudor Lodgings and explore the two acres that fronts a 15th century house and incorporates Norman earthworks. Includes awns, topiary, perennials, hot border, cutting garden and wild area around a pond. Walk up the road and slip through the back garden of Ormonde House, which is south facing and planted with mixed shrubs, perennials and annuals. Within walking distance is Highfield House where three quarters of an acre has evolved over 30 years and is well planted with herbaceous borders, a wild meadow and pond, and a neat vegetable area. Nearby is Egerton House, which is opening for the first time, and has a good mix of sun and shade loving plants, a patio with pots, a small pond and a very productive vegetable area. Walk back down to Tudor Lodgings for delicious teas on the lawn.

A magical town garden surrounding a Victorian Gothic cemetery lodge. It includes a classical temple, oriental water garden, formal ponds and winding pathways with a surprise around every corner! As well as herbaceous planting there's a carnivorous and succulent plant collection in a hand-built conservatory.

Cokesford Farm boasts a two-acre farmhouse garden, with well planted mixed borders, lawn and a ha-ha, plus a parterre, vegetable garden, orchard and short woodland walk. Woodford Lodge has an acre garden comprising 10 different areas, including an 80ft rose walk, labyrinth, herb parterre, rill, walled pool, pots and raised vegetable beds. There's a variety of colourful planting combining leaf colour and texture to create contrast.

A two-acre plant lovers' garden surrounding a large spring-fed pond. Exuberantly planted borders feature more than 1,000 plant varieties including 100 varieties of hydrangea. There will be music during the day and a wide choice of plants for sale.
