Norfolk is one of the most popular places in the country to visit for a staycation and this has been recognised in the Good Hotel Guide 2024.

The independent guide, which was first published in 1978, recommends hotels, B&Bs and inns across Great Britain and Ireland using both reader and inspector recommendations.

A handful of these establishments have been recognised with awards and the 2024 list has just been revealed.

The coveted César Awards go to the "12 best hotels of the year" and The Harper in Langham, near Holt, was named the best in East Anglia.

This boutique hotel is in the former home of Langham Glass and it also boasts a restaurant and spa.

"As a relatively new hotel, it means a huge amount to have the whole team’s hard work recognised and to be rubbing shoulders with the best of the best."

Five other places in Norfolk have been given Editor's Choice Awards, which ranks them among the best in Great Britain and Ireland in a certain category.

This includes the Rose and Crown in Snettisham, which has been named among the best pubs with rooms for the third year in a row.
