After a night of indulgence, nothing beats a good brunch menu. Here we pick some top Norwich places to go for brunch

1. No 33, Exchange St

In the heart of Norwich, on Exchange Street, is No 33. With bright interiors and friendly staff, this café also serves a mean brunch. Think generous servings of sweet American style pancakes topped with Greek yoghurt, pecans and maple syrup or a full English consisting of three rashers of Norfolk bacon, two sausages, two poached eggs, roasted tomatoes, grilled mushroom, baked beans and sourdough toast.

Brunch is served all day

2. Wild Thyme, the Old Fire Station Stables, Labour in Vain Yard

Although very central, Wild Thyme is hidden away in the Old Fire Station Stables above Rainbow Wholefoods. 100% vegetarian and with many vegan options available, this restaurant/café is a relaxing place to while a morning away over brunch with friends. Brunch dishes include smashed avocado on toast with fresh lime; or a ‘full veggie’ with Portobello mushroom, vine tomato, sweet potato, homemade baked beans, wilted spinach, free range egg, vegan sausage and wholemeal toast.

3. Woolf & Social, Nelson St

Order a plate of ham hock hash with a fried egg or raved-about “smacked cucumbers” from the brunch menu at Woolf & Social. This friendly restaurant on Nelson Street serves inspired dishes for those days when you missed breakfast but you’re too early for lunch. At Woolf & Social, “everything is artisan” including décor, wine and the food served up for hungry patrons.

4. Frank’s Bar, Bedford St

Brunch is served 9am until 3pm

5. North, Fye Bridge St

6. The Bicycle Shop, St Benedicts St

Cosy, stylish, bohemian interiors and tasty grub on the brunch menu, the Bicycle Shop on St Benedicts Street is a laid back place to enjoy a lazy brunch.
