Spectacular family sharing Sunday roasts are served on antique platters each Sunday between 12 and 4.30pm. Each week the menu features chicken, pork and beef, all which arrive with an impressive Yorkshire pud. The crispy slow cooked pork belly is a firm favourite. Desserts change seasonally, cheese boards always available.

Children’s menus are available featuring traditional roasts as well as ‘spag bol’, fish cakes and a very special knickebocker glory dessert. Dine and stay amidst antiques and objects of interest... everything you can see is for sale! With up to 300 items a month moving on through, it creates an ever-changing scene. Come again next week and you may find everything’s changed.

The venue also features three private dining spaces to choose from for your Sunday lunch: glorious Georgian furniture, grand glassware and antique objects dress The Secret Room; you can dine privately at the ‘Chef’s table’ whilst watching the kitchen at work. The wine cellar is the third private party space which comes complete with a spotlit stalagmite, original Hollywood film lights and other eclectic objects. Sunday roasts are particularly popular here throughout the winter months with the addition of traditional log burners in each room, mulled wine and Christmas shopping on tap.

Sunday lunch at the Saracen’s Head is something of a speciality.

The wonderful building is Ivy clad and was built to the design of a Tuscan farmhouse a couple of hundred years ago, set just outside the Wolterton Estate, it’s surrounded by farmland and peace and quiet. The restaurant and bar have been recently renovated and are light, bright and have a lovely relaxed, comfortable feel about them.

Head chef Mark Sayers insists on using only the best, freshest local produce. The beef is sourced from just down the lane in Blickling where it has grazed on the tranquil banks of the Bure. The roast pork and it’s amazing crackling is reared at South Creake up on the North Norfolk Coast. The delicious desserts are all made at the Saracens.
