THE VENDORS SAY:
When was the house built?
Originally Bickerstaffe Farm, the house dates back to 1851, but was completely re-built in 1999/2000 and we have fully refurbished it since.
How long have you lived in the house?
We have lived here for five years.
What first attracted you to it?
The sheer beauty and uniqueness the property has.
How have you changed the house?
When we purchased the house in 2019, the property was in a derelict state and had been left to fall into a state of disrepair for over ten years. My wife and I saw the potential of this beautiful property which needed much love and care putting into it to bring the property back to life again. Over the last five years we have fully renovated the property and grounds to create this stunning country family residence.
What will you miss most about the house?
We'll miss everything about the house, there are so many different areas within the house and grounds that come to life as the seasons change making the property truly enjoyable no matter what the weather. Speaking on behalf of our daughters, they will certainly miss their private equestrian facilities and the fun they've had learning to ride here.
Describe the garden:
Wow, the gardens, they speak for themselves bursting to life throughout summer with an abundance of colour and wildlife, in particular the patio area next to the pond and waterfall is one of our favourite places to sit. Whether it’s watching the sun set over the fields or later in the evening sat around the log burner, it’s just so peaceful with the sound of the water and wildlife in the distance, the perfect place to relax and enjoy the view over the garden.
