Now in its eighth year, the award-winning Chorley Flower show continues to grow in size and popularity.
Held at Astley Park, the three-day horticultural extravaganza promises to be a vibrant celebration of all things floral.
Visitors will find a wealth of flower displays, garden designs and plants for sale, as well as all the expert advice you could ever need with specialist workshops, talks and demonstrations.
Some of the country’s finest professional exhibitors will be joining the show, with multiple gold medals from the country’s largest flower shows and RHS events.
The event is not only for keen gardeners and horticulturalists though; a wide range of activities and attractions make it perfect for all the family - including live music and entertainment, competitions, great food and drink, local traders, and a dedicated children's area.
The annual children’s ‘Design a Garden’ competition has been popular once again with young people across the region sharing their drawings and ideas, and the show will see the winner’s design brought to life for all to explore.
As well as the ever-popular returning favourites, there are a few new events for this year - including a pet photo competition, with a ‘wall of fame’ for the photos taken on each day. There are amateur competitions for flowers, fruit and vegetables, begonias, floral art, and photography.
The show is set in beautiful surroundings and this year visitors can also explore the newly renovated Astley Hall following its £1.1million restoration. With a rich 400-year history, the Hall is celebrating 100 years of being open as a museum with a dedicated Anniversary Exhibition.
Chorley Flower Show organisers are hoping for more visitors than ever. Councillor Peter Wilson, deputy leader of Chorley Council, said: "It is so exciting to have the Chorley Flower Show back for its eighth year!
"It is set to be bigger and better than ever before and Early Bird tickets are already on sale.
"The Flower Show is always a wonderful event and a wonderful opportunity for families to spend quality time together."
