It was a night of fierce competition and roaring laughter at The Flower Bowl Entertainment Centre in Preston, where our latest event saw Lancashire’s finest award winners battle it out to be crowned Lancashire Life’s winner of winners.
A drinks reception welcomed guests before they took to the floor with their family and friends in a fun contest of Secret Garden crazy golf and boutique ten pin bowling.
Lucky champions Giuseppe and Matthew Dunne from Blackburn’s Prestige Beds and Megan Phillip, Lisa Phillip and Paul Sheldon of Ribble Valley raw dog food business Raw Paw took home their invisible crown with heads held high and a belly full of fish and chips.
Megan Phillip, who won the Micro Business award at the Ribble Valley Business Awards 2022 for Raw Paw, says: 'We really enjoyed the evening hosted by Lancashire Life Magazine. It was great to meet other businesses in a social setting and take part in bowling and crazy golf, followed by fish and chips. We were delighted and very surprised to be crowned the Winner of Winners, a fabulous evening all round!'
The group consisted of winners of the BIBAs, organised by the North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce; the Enterprise Vision Awards, the north west’s most prestigious awards for women; the HIVE awards, celebrating the best of Blackburn with Darwen; and the Freshies Awards, a not-for-profit award celebration to inspire local businesses by Chorley-based recruitment business Fresh Perspective.
The Flower Bowl is a state-of-the-art entertainment centre with the north of England’s only dedicated curling hall including an Olympic-sized rink; a three-screen cinema with sofa-style seating; ten pin bowling; crazy golf; crazy pool; a golf simulator and VR jungle ride.
Visitors can enjoy a bite to eat at Blooms Restaurant, The Ocean Fish and Chips and Knickerbockers Ice Cream and relax with a hot drink at the Oasis Coffee Bar or a craft beer, wine, spirit or soft drink at Barbossa.
