Rossendale Hospice annual Christmas Ladies’ Lunch raised £19,000 – thanks to the ex-Coronation Street heart-throb Keith Duffy. Keith, who rose to fame in Boyzone, acted as auctioneer and boosted business by offering kisses to anyone bidding over £500.
Prizes at the glamorous lunch, held at Nino’s Restaurant, Rawtenstall, included cut and style for 12 months at Freddie’s, a trip to a log cabin in Windermere, Manchester United memorabilia and tickets, and a tour around Coronation Street.
