Ashford

Remembrance Sunday, in the Memorial Gardens, where the Mayor of Ashford, Councillor Larry Krause, veterans and other distinguished guests will be in attendance. From 10.50, with two minutes’ silence at 11am, followed by the laying of wreaths and service.

Canterbury

Remembrance Sunday, November 12: From 10:10am will be a Civic Act of Remembrance and Wreath Laying, in the Buttermarket, and following at 10:45, a Civic Service of Remembrance in the Cathedral (Doors open at 10:10). 

Dover

Remembrance Sunday, November 12: A parade of standards, veterans and other organisations will assemble and march to the War Memorial in front of Maison Dieu House, where a minutes’ silence will be observed at 11.00. The Memorial Service will be conducted by Reverend Catherine Tucker and will be followed by the laying of wreaths. The Right Worshipful Town Mayor of Dover will take the salute at St. Mary’s Church. 


Maidstone

Remembrance Sunday, November 12: A two-minute silence at 11.00am at the Memorial in The Broadway, followed by the laying of wreaths. During the event Maidstone’s Mayor, Cllr Gordon Newton, will be joined by Lt Col Ryan Castro RE, Commanding Officer of 36 Engineer Regiment and the Queen’s Gurkha Engineers, to take the salute from the parade.


Tunbridge Wells

Armistice Day, Sat Nov 11: The Mayor, Councillor Hugh Patterson, will be joining representatives of the Royal British Legion at the War Memorial from 10.45am, with the ceremony to include two minutes’ silence. At 11.30am, the Mayor will join members of the Royal British Legion, who will lay wreaths at the Victoria Cross Grove in Dunorlan Park.


Remembrance Sunday, November 12: A Service of Remembrance, Thanksgiving and Dedication will take place at 10.45am at the War Memorial. Following the service and laying of wreaths, there will be a March Past for Service and other organisations to pay their respects. The Mayor will take the salute from the War Memorial.


Remembrance Sunday Event at Tunbridge Wells Cemetery: At 12.30pm all are invited to attend Tunbridge Wells Cemetery for the Civic Ceremony, during which the Mayor will lay wreaths at the four War Memorials in the Cemetery. There are 73 Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC) WW1 war graves, 63 CWGC WW2 war graves and 18 civilian WW2 war graves here.
