They serve great homemade food and a selection of fine wines and cask ales.

If you are after something a bit different they have starters like bang band cauliflower, and bloody Mary prawn cocktails and classics such as pie of the day, fish and chips and halloumi and red pepper burger for main.

There is a warm welcoming atmosphere with well-kept real ales, serving fresh homemade food with specials and traditional favourites.

In the warmer months visitors can enjoy a large garden, with a kid’s play area, and dogs are welcome in the bar area in colder months.

The Brewery Tap, Ware

The Brewery Tap pub has stood in the middle of the High Street in Ware since the 15th century.

Once a coaching inn, it is now the perfect spot for cask ale, premium lager, cider and a good selection of spirits.

The establishment used to have its own brewery and continues to serve the best cask ales from local brewers (look out for their Warehouse Ale).

The family run business is under the management of the Migan family, they do a great job at making a friendly atmosphere.

Visitors can enjoy an enclosed and heated courtyard garden in the summer months. Head to the Celler Bar for a great night out or cosy up with the simple bar food such as traditional pie mash and liquor and wagyu burgers.

Great British Life: The King's MeadThe King's Mead

The King’s Mead, Ware

The King’s Mead on Hertford Road, Ware is a place to relax and dine and there is a family golfing centre if you’re in the mood for some activity.

The site used to be the original East Herts Golf Club and it became Chadwell Springs nine hole Golf course in 1974.

The land is formed over chalk caves and the water in these caves filters down into the chalk aquifer that is used in the brew of McMullen's local ales.

Enjoy fresh food, fine wines, local hand-crafted ales from the Hertford Brewery and ethical coffee at the friendly establishment.

They serve seasonal British food, tapas and lovely traditional Sunday roasts.
