One lucky winner and guest will enjoy a six course dinner at Michelin star chef Ben Crittenden’s acclaimed Stark restaurant in Mersea Island, followed by a luxurious stay next door in a Shepherd’s Hut at Mersea Barns Glamping.

Described as 'dazzling' by the Good Food Guide and 'the real deal' in The Guardian’s review by revered critic, Marina O’Loughlin, Stark has become a foodie Mecca over the past eight years.

Stark RestaurantStark Restaurant It earned a Michelin star in its third year, which it retained for the past five, before recently relocating from Broadstairs to the idyllic, Essex coastal area.

The winner can expect a tasting menu of seasonal dishes, like duck liver parfait, confit leg, ginger bread, hazelnut and apricot before strolling across the field to their Shepherd’s Hut, to relax around the firepit, or fire up the log burning stove inside for a cosy night in, surrounded by tranquil countryside.

Mersea Barns is also home to a popular cafe, serving delicious all-day brunches, Sunday roasts, and freshly made cakes, scones and pastries, to round off the perfect, foodie escape.
