Temprd Chocolate, Maldon

A love for all things, food and flavour led to Rob Anthony becoming a chocolatier. After months of trial and error, he began making fun, different flavoured bars and Temprd Chocolate was born. ‘My favourite creation is the peanut butter and pistachio bar,’ Rob shares. ‘I’m also super proud of our newest addition, the ‘Shoutouts,’ a box of 25, 10g chunks. They add a new dimension to our properly chunky range.’ When asked what he enjoys most about being a chocolatier, Rob admitted it was experimenting with new ideas. ‘We’re working on a couple of new products for September,’ he adds. ‘Though of course really the very best thing about working with chocolate, apart from eating it of course, is that it makes people happy!’ temprd.co.uk

Hill St, Saffron Walden

This local, independent chocolatier excels at creating a unique choco-tastic experience and delivering an authentic, alluring taste. Brothers Chris and Greg Smith opened this boutique chocolate shop to share their appetite for experimentation and uncontrollable love of chocolate with the local community. They formed Hill St after studying for more than a decade under passionate chocolatiers and pastry chefs. Elegant and intense flavour combinations are at the forefront of their creations, and they simply adore working with dark chocolate as it’s luxurious, bittersweet and always tempting. However, they describe the very best part of their job as bringing joy to their customers with their hand-crafted chocolates. hill.st
