He spent his honeymoon here in 1816 during which time he completed his painting of Weymouth Bay which now hangs in the National Gallery in London. Treetops: Great for social gatherings

If gathering with friends is on your Christmas list then Treetops, on the outskirts of the market town of Wimborne Minster, could be the perfect house for you. Sleeping ten, the impressive accommodation is mainly on the ground floor, set around a courtyard. There is plenty of hosting space with an open-plan family room which leads to a large kitchen and breakfast room. The formal dining room comfortably seats ten and glazed doors lead to a lovely sunroom with access to a large patio area and wrap around gardens.
