2024 has been a special year as they have had not only the 50th anniversary of the Pughs owning the attraction and the estate, but also the 40th anniversary of the introduction of the cable cars.

There have been many celebratory events marking this, with dancing dragons, golden and ruby themed celebration days and right now is the summer Punch and Judy extravaganza, with three shows a day until 1st September.

This is a magnificent tribute to the Heights’ history as new, flamboyant characters join Punch and Co in a hilarious show masterminded and acted by master puppeteer, Richard  Coombs whose mastery has been honed on TV series, such as Spitting Image and the Muppets no less, his brilliant wit will strike the humour note of kids of all ages!

There is also a Throwback Music event on August 26th, and the Frights of Abraham for those who dare, celebrating Halloween….21st – 31st October - New this year is the ‘Lights of Abraham’ Winter Lights Festival, which will extend the season from November until the end of December.

The Heights of Abraham is far more than just a cable car, and whilst the flight is a novel and impressive start to the visit, there are the magnificent show caverns to explore with heritage actors bringing those old tales to life in a witty and engaging style.
