You can’t underestimate just how debilitating it is for someone who lacks the confidence to do something simple as…smile.
We have all heard the expressions such as ‘a winning smile’ and have a strong idea about exactly what that looks like, but for some people, this natural human response can be a cause of stress and anxiety.
If, for whatever reason you feel that your current dental health is undermining your confidence to laugh and smile when in social situations, then help is at hand.
Derbyshire-based Springmount Dental & Aesthetics, with practices in Chesterfield and Matlock, can help you achieve that winning smile. The practice was founded in 2017 by Dr Malcolm Campbell and his wife Katie and in the intervening seven years they have established themselves as two of the leading practices in the region excelling in all aspects of dentistry, but especially in the area of implants.
Alongside the high levels of professionalism upon which Springmount’s, reputation has been built, the practices have been designed for the 21st century, with a well thought-out holistic approach which will appeal to the modern patient.
The reception areas have been decorated so that there’s air of calm and tranquillity. Scented oils are used to enhance that sense of serenity. You can even have your favourite music played while you undergo your examination.
“We create a relaxed home from home ambience,” said Katie. “It’s a core aim to make our patients feel comfortable throughout the appointment.”
Dr Campbell was awarded a Membership in Implant Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh, but the training never stops. Dr Campbell and his team continues to stay up to date, undertaking extensive training in complex techniques to enable the practice to offer the full choice of implant options – from a single tooth, bridges, to ‘All-on-4’ (full mouth).
“At Springmount Dental & Aesthetics, we’re passionate about helping to find ways to enhance and improve not just your smile but your life, too,” said Dr Campbell.
“When dealing with a missing tooth or multiple missing teeth, the most transformative treatment we offer is dental implants. Simply put, dental implants are the gold standard when it comes to replacement options and second only to a natural tooth.”
“Even a single missing tooth can cause damage to your smile and your overall oral health”.
Whether you’ve lost a tooth due to injury, gum disease, or tooth decay, replacing it is of the utmost importance to maintain the health of your neighbouring teeth.
“This is why we recommend single-tooth dental implants,” said Dr Campbell.
“Single-tooth dental implants provide stability and a high level of function while also offering a boost to your smile confidence.”
Designed to replicate the look, feel, and function of a natural tooth, these dental implants don’t require the support of any neighbouring teeth and can help prolong the health and longevity of your oral health for years to come.
Dental implants look, act, and feel just as the natural tooth does, and with good oral care – both at home and from your skilled team here at the practice – they can last a lifetime.
While Springmount Dental & Aesthetics has built an unparalleled reputation in dental implants, the same dedication to excellence and professionalism underpins every aspect of the treatments you would expect from a forward looking, contemporary dental practice.
From crowns to veneers, bridges to whitening, having helped you gain that winning smile, Dr Campbell and Katie and the Springmount team will be there to assist and support you and your dental requirements, be it general dentistry, cosmetic or teeth straightening.
The three stages to dental implants
1. The assessment
You’ll come in for your consultation with our Treatment Co-ordinator and Dr Campbell. During this consultation, he will perform an assessment, which will likely include X-rays and/or CBCT scans and perform a complete oral health history.
2. The fitting
Your implant will be fitted for at the practice by Dr Campbell, with the titanium screw or screws being placed first. You’ll be placed under anaesthetic so you don’t feel a thing, and if necessary, we can also arrange for sedation so you’re completely comfortable throughout. After we may fit you for a temporary restoration, and a week later, you’ll come in to have your stitches removed.
3. The finishing touch
After six to 16 weeks, the treatment site should be healed, and we’ll be able to apply your custom crown. You’ll leave the practice with a fully functional, natural-looking smile that should last a lifetime.
