Kaleb Cooper’s sustainable Christmas tree service launches in the Cotswolds
A new sustainable initiative is set to bring festive cheer and environmental benefits to homes across the Cotswolds and beyond. A locally grown Christmas tree supplier with a commitment to eco-friendly practices has just launched, offering high-quality, sustainably sourced Nordmann Fir trees.
The Jolly Pines initiative was founded by Kaleb Cooper with SDL Solutions and Kaleb Cooper Contracting to provide a complete, sustainable service, including delivery, collection, and recycling.
In a unique twist on traditional Christmas tree sales, they don’t just deliver beautiful trees, but also ensure they’re collected again after the festive season, repurposing them into biomass energy to power local homes and businesses. By collaborating with SDL Solutions, the trees are chipped so they can be recycled into green energy, supporting a circular economy and reducing waste, all while contributing to the community.
Sam Launchbury from SDL Solutions shared their enthusiasm for the project.
‘We believe this is the future for sustainable Christmas trees. With Jolly Pines, we’re not only bringing the community high-quality, locally grown trees, but we’re also making sure that when the holidays are over, these trees go on to benefit the environment in a big way. It’s the full cycle.’
The Nordmann Fir trees – which are prized for their needle retention and symmetrical shape – are grown locally and hand trimmed by expert farmers. Sizes on offer are from 4ft to 9ft, and every tree is inspected for quality before it’s harvested, ensuring a lush, full tree for the season.
Jolly Pines’ approach combines local sourcing, community support, and environmental sustainability, setting a new standard for Yuletide traditions that respects both the environment and the community.
