On the exact date of their first wedding anniversary, Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen’s daughter Hermione and husband Drew Marriott returned to the same church for the christening of their daughter Romilly May. The day was a real family affair because her older sister Cecile christened her daughter Demelza Jane in the same ceremony.
Laurence and Jackie Llewelyn Bowen are proud grandparents to three children, and the clan all live together in a divided manor house just outside Cirencester.
The Reverend Canon Graham Morris, who performed Hermione and Drew’s wedding ceremony, was delighted to welcome them and the 120 guests back to the church of St John the Baptist Cirencester exactly one year on. The Earl Bathurst read the address in church, whilst the Countess Bathurst officiated at the font during the ceremony.
After the relaxed and informal service, the guests took the short walk through Cirencester to the Mansion House at Cirencester Park which The Bathursts had so generously thrown open for the LLBs and their guests. The christening party had tea, cake and pink Champagne, which mirrored the celebrations from last year’s wedding.
