A collection of pictures from this year’s Festival of British Eventing
The Festival of British Eventing at Gatcombe Park, presented by British Equestrian Trade Association (BETA), took place August 5-7, 2016 and it was one of the highlights of the equestrian calendar, providing riders with the opportunity of competing at one of the most prestigious events of the season. With four coveted championship titles up for grabs, many of the world’s best riders were in attendance.
Held in the stunning location of Gatcombe Park, The Festival main arena hosted the show jumping phase of the competition as well as a full timetable of family entertainment over the weekend, including the excitement of the Shetland Pony Grand National, the grandeur of the Dressage to Music display, the exhilaration of the Scurry Driving, and the Devil’s Horsemen who thrilled crowds with their amazing dare devil stunts. The Park Bowl provided the perfect location for spectators to watch the cross-country action and enjoy the beautiful setting of the Park.
Photographer Paul Nicholls was on hand to capture pictures of Zara Tindall and family.
