The Ballroom in Cheltenham hosts Professor Richard B Hoover
The Ballroom Indian restaurant in Cheltenham’s Montpellier was the venue for a special dinner hosted by Dr Holley Martlew for guest of honour NASA scientist Professor Richard B Hoover.
Guests listened to Prof Hoover – a Professor of the Russian Academy of Science, Inventor of the Year for the water-window X-ray microscope, and American Optical Society gold medal-winner – talk about his ground-breaking research into diatoms and how they have been found in meteorites, and may be the building blocks of life on Earth or any other planet.
