A children's theatre show is set to bring festive magic to a botanic garden this Christmas.

Alfie and the Elf’s Christmas Rescue will be performed at Ness Botanic Gardens, near Neston, on weekends from November 30 to December 15.

The show, by The Big Tiny Theatre Company, will tell the story of Alfie the Elf, who is stuck at Ness with the naughty-or-nice list after a punctured bicycle tyre.

Children will be invited to help Alfie get back to the North Pole and save Christmas.

The show will feature songs, interactive moments, and performances.

Ben Richards, director of The Big Tiny, said: "This show is all about bringing families together to celebrate the magic of Christmas.

"From the beautiful garden setting to the lively, interactive story, we wanted to create an experience that sparks joy, laughter, and unforgettable memories for children and their families."

The show will be performed in the gardens' atrium, with the backdrop of the gardens.

Ness Botanic Gardens said: "We have worked with The Big Tiny for a number of years and we are thrilled to host Alfie The Elf’s Christmas Rescue at Ness.

"There’s lots of Christmas activities planned across December including wreath making workshops, story–time with Father Christmas, a family Christmas garden trail, table decoration workshops and festive Christmas lunches in our restaurant.

"Alfie the Elf is a wonderful festive addition to our festive programme here at Ness."

After the show, families will be able to explore the gardens, sip hot chocolate, or grab a bite to eat at The Botanic Kitchen, the on-site café and restaurant.

The show will be performed three times daily at 11am, 1pm, and 3pm.

Tickets are available from £12, with discounts available.

The show is suitable for families, children aged three and over, and holiday visitors seeking festive fun.

Tickets are limited, and an early bird discount of 15 per cent is available for bookings made before December 2.

A group booking discount of 10 per cent is also available for groups of four or more.
