Recently I’ve become really close friends with Rebecca Crawforth, who is a fellow female entrepreneur. She is the owner and CEO of Navy (a luxury nail care brand). We have decided to start our very own podcast “from farm to practice” where we will be interviewing entrepreneurs talking all things business, family, work life balance and much more. We’ve got a lineup of really interesting guests that I can’t wait to interview, so keep your eyes and ears peeled for the launch at the end of this month!
What an incredible experience at the @live.lifeactivated retreat in Costa Rica! It was hosted by Michael Dash and was an amazing event. I came away with great tools for handling stress, anxiety, burnout and so much more, but most of all I made some incredible friends from all over the world who have not only inspired me, but also given me a huge sense of gratitude for all the blessings in my life. Until last year I had never been on a retreat before – this is now my third and I would highly recommend them. We rarely take time to work on ourselves, grow and truly look inwards. Self-care is such a worthwhile investment and the connections we make at these retreats are priceless. As much as they are great, they are not easy, they demand a lot of determination and dedication, but the overall outcome can’t even be described. This particular retreat was a mixture of breath work, meditation and cold plunge which, in combination, delivered an exhilarating experience!
We have just recently done our Icy Bear shoot for Christmas! It’s crazy to think that Christmas is only around the corner. The shoot was an exciting day and something we have all been looking forward to. There was a lot of stress to ensure the day went perfectly but it was nice for myself and the team to step out of the office and have fun. Sometimes, work is taken too seriously and you forget to enjoy yourself, so to have days like this with my team is a fun way to take a step back. We have many exciting things to come around Halloween and Christmas, so keep a look out! I don’t want to reveal too much, but I can say we are really looking forward to the shoot going live. We have also got an exciting release of a new toothbrush to come out.
Myself, Martin, the kids and Martin’s parents had a family day out to Gulliver’s World. It’s so nice to see Maximus and Kimia grow into their little characters. They are truly our greatest gifts. It’s nice to now see them at the age where they can enjoy each other’s company. It was a surreal day for all the family to be together and the kids having fun. In the summer or over the weekends if you are struggling to think of things to do with the children, I would really say Gulliver’s World is a great choice. There is so much for them to do. They can have the excitement of the rides, food, and there’s the little fair where they can play games. Maximus and Kimia both loved their day out and I can say it kept them entertained. It’s the little things of spending time together and watching them grow we take for granted. It doesn’t seem two minutes since they were little babies, so the best thing I can say is when you get the chance, do what makes them happy and make memories.
Myself and Martin got invited to a complimentary meal at the Hale Fiorentina restaurant to celebrate the restaurant’s partnership with the wine brand Calafuria! I can say it was a lovely evening thanks to the staff, the food, the drinks and the service in general. It was nice for me and Martin to have a night together kids-free, as we don’t get much time together due to work and busy lives. So, I must say, it was nice to sit back and enjoy each other’s company for a change. The restaurant is absolutely amazing, and I would really recommend for those who haven’t been.
