Dorfold Park welcomed thousands of visitors for another spectacular Nantwich Agricultural Show. The annual one-day event attracted over 33,000 people.
From parading cattle and livestock to the elegantly dressed show and shire horses, there was something for everyone to enjoy in the main ring and surrounding marquees. The Nantwich Show also had plenty of entertainment for families with a funfair, a children’s marquee full of games and activities and musical performances. After picking up a bite to eat in the Mornflake food hall, visitors could also peruse a range of arts and crafts in the Town and Country Shopping Pavilion with over 460 trade stands.
Adrian Lawrence, joint secretary of the Nantwich Show together, with his father George, said: ‘Today has been fantastic. It has been the best-ever show, as well as the biggest. There has been perfect weather for the event, and this creates a nice atmosphere for visitors and exhibitors.
‘New to this year was our vintage machinery section and we also hosted our largest trade day hospitality lunch. Each year we like to keep things fresh as we have a huge following of loyal visitors, as well as new ones. We will go into 2015’s show with lots of enthusiasm.’
