With lockdown forcing us to spend more time at home, we’ve all had time to think about what our ideal living situation is. For many people living in towns or cities, or those who have growing families, the idea of extra space, ample greenery, fresh air and lower property prices seems more appealing than ever after the pressures of the pandemic.

Q: Are older properties a good investment?

When you buy an older property, you’re buying a piece of history packed with rustic charm and unique architectural features. However, many buyers can be put off by the idea of renovations and the maintenance required to make the property suitable for modern living. But that’s not always the case.

Our new build barn conversions at the Grade II listed Enholmes Farm have been restored to the highest standard with stunning original features and contemporary fixtures and fittings, so you get the best of both worlds.

Q: What properties do you have for sale?

The newly completed properties at Enholmes Farm range from two-bedroom cottages to four-bedroom family homes with parking spaces for two cars. The interiors have been styled in keeping with the history of the property with period features including rustic beams, agricultural machinery and brick feature walls.

The homes offer plenty of room for families with spacious living areas, modern fitted kitchens and master bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. Some of the properties have cottage-style front gardens and extra land and pony paddocks are available to buy.

In addition to the properties for sale, we are currently developing our five-bedroom detached flagship farmhouse which will soon be completed and offered for sale.

Q: What about the location?

One of the main benefits of countryside living – apart from the outdoor space – is the chance to be part of a community. Enholmes Farm is located on the outskirts of the picturesque village of Patrington, near Yorkshire’s east coast. The village has a historic market square, a local parish Grade I listed church and a host of amenities including a general store, pharmacy, petrol station, cafes, pubs and a primary school within walking distance from the properties.

There are plenty of scenic walking trails and beaches to explore along the coastline, with bus links to the city of Hull taking just half an hour.
