To the Dales

If you’re missing your Herriot fix now that All Creatures Great and Small has finished its first remake series, you can still soak up the impressive Dales with walks and villages associated with the series, namely Malham Tarn, Keld to Tan Hill, and Grassington. A good place to stop off lunch if you’re heading to these parts is The Boar’s Head at Ripley, full of character on the cobbled market square in the centre of the charming listed village.
