When was the house built?
The house was built in 2018 and we have lived here for four years.
What first attracted you to the house?
We thought the house had a lovely light and spacious feel, and we really liked the outlook and position. It is in the catchment area for Bishop Rawstorne which is a fantastic school, and that was important for us too. We liked the idea of living there since it is a modern home, and has all the mod cons you need for modern living.
What renovations have you made?
We added bespoke fitted wardrobes to the front bedrooms and we made the fifth bedroom at the back into a beautiful dressing room with wardrobes on each side. We also added additional kitchen units with a larder cupboard and extra fridge freezer. We also had the garden designed and landscaped.
What will you miss most?
We will really miss the house. It has been a fantastic family home for us, with a lovely feel and large bright rooms. The location is excellent and it has been a very easy and comfortable place in which to live. We have all loved the sense of community here and being able to walk into the village.
Describe the garden.
We had the garden designed so we could have a lawn and a sociable seating area, with a covered shelter for relaxing or outdoor dining. The shelter has power for a patio heater or hot tub. We had festoon lights installed all around the garden and we have planted a variety of shrubs and flowers, which give a contemporary cottage garden feel, especially beautiful in the late spring/ early summer.
