Award-winning pub-restaurant The Unruly Pig at Bromeswell is inviting people to put their feet up and have an Unruly Christmas meal at home with one of its superb festive ready meals.

Executive chef Dave Wall has created a Christmas takeaway menu of delicious dishes – all you need to do is put them in the oven and then have another glass or three.

Unruly Christmas Heat at Home meals include starters such as chicken liver parfait or baked goat’s cheese. Main course choices are traditional roast (Suffolk reared Aylesbury duck, free range golden assured game hung bronze turkey or free range Heron’s Farm goose) with ready-to-roast dripping roasties, creamed sprouts, chipolata, stuffing, gravy, bread sauce and cranberry sauce, or classic beef Wellington (for four people) with potato and parmesan gratin, braised cavolo nero, red wine sauce, or risotto with saffron, fennel and tarragon.

Follow with Christmas pudding or Pump Street chocolate delice.

There is a range of festive treats too, including whipped brown butter, gin cured trout, Unruly mince pies, boozy brandy custard, a trio of cheese, whole truffled vacherin mont d’or stuffed with black winter truffle, and handmade Pump Street chocolate truffles.

A minimum of seven days notice is needed and all festive period orders need to be placed by December 13. Meals for Christmas Day and Boxing Day are available for collection on December 23 or 24.

The Unruly Pig adheres to rigid anti COVID hygiene standards. All Unruly team members are temperature checked each day. Meals are prepared according HM Government advice and deliveries will be made using masks and disposable, sanitised gloves.

Hampers and gifts are also available.

“Our bakery team has worked really hard to develop and make these delicious products overseen by Yasmin Wyatt, our general manager, who has also developed our very desirable hampers and updated the packaging on all our products this year so everything looks very tempting,” says Rebecca Bishop, founder and co-owner of Two Magpies Bakery. “A product we’re really excited to launch is our Cinnamon Swirl Butter made with our famous cinnamon buns and combining them with caramelised white chocolate. It’s perfect for your toast in the morning and tastes amazing – we think it’s going to be very popular.”

Two Magpies has introduced new services, such as click and collect and takeaway, to cope with limited trading during the pandemic. Joint owners, husband and wife team Rebecca Bishop and Steve Magnall, operate four bakeries in Norwich, Aldeburgh, Southwold and Darsham. More information at twomagpiesbakery.co.uk
